From Chris Double: Bert Hubert writes about "Synchronous Web Programming", giving us another term for what I've been calling modal or continuation-based web development. Unfortunately, lacking multishot continuations, it's badly crippled by not supporting the browser back button (JWIG is another system with this same problem). But it's interesting to see that this meme is not only spreading, but apparently popping up independently in multiple places, with multiple names.
