This week we spoke to Jan Vrany, one of the developers of SmallRuby - a Ruby implementation being built within Smalltalk/X. The project is actually more ambitious than that - they are building what sounds like the "Universal VM" idea that IBM had (but never carried through on) back in the 90's.
