This is on Digg this morning, so I'm sure lots of people have already seen it, but I still thought it was worth mentioning.

These guys have created a Linux live CD that has everything on it you need to run Rails. They've released the bits you need to run it all inside of VMWare Player, so you can run the system inside a window on your existing operating system of choice.

If you've been waiting for a chance to tinker but didn't want to install the software on your desktop, this should knock out your last excuse. :)
