I wanted to reorganize the categories in this blog. dasBlog does not provide an option to do this. One way was to do a find and replace the categories in the xml data files. But for this I had to download all data files, do a find/replace and then upload them again. I wanted to do this quite sometime but being as lazy as I am I never got around to doing it.

Yesterday I created a small tool to do this. This uses the browsing and edit web services provided by dasBlog to fetch all posts for a category and renaming it. Since I found a couple of requests for renaming categories in dasBlog forum I am putting it up for download here. Here is how it looks.
