In one of Don Box's Indigo talks this week, he stressed that the Indigo team was striving to build a platform for service orientation that was a "good citizen" in dealing with the current platform technologies such as Enterprise Services, .NET Remoting, and others. Dare commented on this as well, and I agree with him. What makes Indigo cool is how it pulls together the stuff you already have and extends the functionality in ways to enable service orientation. The easy way out would have been to rearchitect major parts of the platform or to build major new pieces from the ground up that didn't work with the older pieces of the platform. I applaud the Indigo folks for not doing that.
