I posted a few months ago about the origins of some memorable events in the movies. Well, here's an interesting tidbit on the birth of CTRL-ALT-DEL. Apparently, it was developed by David Bradley (an IBM employee) as a keystroke combination that would be hard to hit by accident to be used as a support mechanism to "soft-boot" PCs, and was never intended to be used by the end-user.
