According to this article from TechWeb, Jupiter Research is predicting that Longhorn won't see the light of day until 2006. I'm sure we'll hear/see/read hundreds of different predictions on this subject over the next couple of years. I'll weigh in with my own (uninformed) opinion after I see the state of the software that will be previewed at the PDC.
