I have to start tracking specifics on how long I am spending on certain projects at work so as the nerd that I am I began looking for software.  Lord knows a pen and paper could never suit my needs.  I mean, I need to track the time I start something and the time I end.  Only the pure processing of a computer could do that math.

Really though since all I use is a PC to work it would be nice to have an app running in the system tray that I can tell what I am doing and when I stop doing it.

Being the blogging nerd that I am I skipped reading all the fanfare from each company that makes time tracking software and looked to see if someone had done the legwork already on the blogs.  I found a post from Ken Robertson about his work trying to find a time tracking tool and ended up playing with Time Sled for the last couple of days.

Time Sled is cool, but seems a little buggy.  Like it won't minimize just to the Notification area (system tray) even though it has an icon there, I say some weird toolbar problems where it just kept shrinking until it was at it's smallest.

I am going to keep trying more apps.  I think TimePanic is next.  I just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.
