SOLVED: Learn how you could perform a hard reset on the Samsung Droid Charge smartphone so you could get it back to the default factory settings.
When you first got the device, everything seem to work finds. You then started to play around with the setting and now it is not working as expected. No worries you can try a few methods below and try to get back to the original setting.
Before you go ahead and reset the device please back up any data on the phone that is important to you. For example your music, video, bookmark, content that you have downloaded, call history and etc. Any data that reside on the SD card should be OK.
Here's how to get started.
Via Software:
If your phone is not stucked or frozen then you can try this.
1. Go back to the Home screen.
2. Then tap on Settings from the application panel.
3. Tap on Privacy.
4. Now you can choose Factory data reset.
5. Next tap on the Reset Phone button.
Now wait for your device initiate the restart process.
Via Hardware:
1. Press the Power button to turn off the unit.
2. Press and hold down the Volume Down button located on the side of the device, then press the Power button and release it.
3. The phone should start with a menu present a list of options.
4. Use the Volume Down button and navigate to the Clear Storage option.
5. Then press on the Power button.
5. Select Yes to confirm your choice of selection.
