There are several example and a free downloadable application on this site that let you do dynamic clientside tree menus.  These are not limited to explorer style tree menus, but also the WIndows XP style areas in explorer with carrets for expanding and colapsing specific portions of a dialog.  It's hard to explain what thos doohickeys and whatchamagigs are called.  So here is a picture:
