Silent but effective, a new release of Nitro has been unleashed upon the world. Curiously, this release includes Mongrel, a replacement for WEBrick, the traditional, pure-Ruby, embeddable servlet container that is distributed with Rails. According to some informal benchmarks, Mongrel is capable of performing up to 1700% faster than WEBrick.
