I finally got around to installing SkyOS 5, Beta 9 today. I was foolishly sitting aroud, waiting for the CD to show up in the mail, only to be told that there would be no CD - I had to burn my own .iso.

Eventually I got things up and running on my old laptop. It looks pretty slick. You can see a couple (bad) screenshots I took here and here.

There's even a Ruby package for SkyOS, which you can find here.
