Today is the big day! I've been putting it off and putting it off, but now there are no excuses. I know enough Ruby and have enough ideas about what I want to build, so it is time to start with Ruby on Rails. I hear this is like the crack cocaine of Web development, one hit and you're hooked. Wish me luck.

I plan on using Rails to build the portion of my blog API that receives and stores posts, so I'll be doing database work and cgi-programming.
