The last time I touched on this subject we had the dist types in this build framework as:

public_projectlead_scm
internal_contributor_scm
local_oneprogrammer_noscm

The problem with that setup is that ignores the workflow of using logging and j2meunit testing on the j2me client side. Not to mention that we do not want to force the poor overworked j2me developer to keep track of the public release from the public test release by version number. Thus, a more clear mnemonic is in order. Such as:

public_clienttest_projectlead_scm
public_final_projectlead_scm
internal_clienttest_contributor_scm
internal_final_contributor_scm
local_clienttest_oneprogrammer_noscm
local_final_oneprogrammer_noscm

We still of course as metadata in the jversion class generated have both the numeric version number and the dist type mnemonic and also as an additional JAD attribute.
