Sun is rumoured to be working on an API for the server side to enable network features in java games acording to this article. The big question is since Mobile J2ME is big right now, is this API for J2ME games? If its is it just adds a key piece to the gameGo server puzzle that I am developing a spec for in preparation for research exploration this next year.

Or it may be for both J2SE and J2ME areas of game development.
