I was researching Oracle XML DB over at OTN's XML Technology Center and found a good Technical Whitepaper outlining XML DB.
They even have an Jason Hunter on JDOM articles, I use dom4j though.
I know XMLSpy supports Oracle, Tamino, and MSSQL XML interfaces, but unfortunately we don't have any of those high end databases at my job.
Will have to check the Oracle developer CD I got a while back and see if it has 9i on there and give it a spin.
