Sony apparently has stopped producing copy protected CDs (technically the aren't CDs because they are not red book). Interesting quote from a company spokeswoman;

Sony Music has learned that only a small part of the population illegally copy CDs, company spokeswoman Kimiko Ohashi said Monday.
