I decided to try to figure out this blog thing. What is blogging about? Why blog? Why not blog? What do people enojoy about blogging and reading other people's blogs? What is a blog? Who is this person blogging? The only way to do it is to free myself from any particular topical constraints.
I've been blogging on and off for about one year. I originally got interested in blogging through the freeroller.net (now http://jroller.net/) community and Rickard Oberg's blog (an interesting mix of creative Java and AOP ideas clashing with dimwitted anti-American paranoia).
I have removed my blog from the javablogs registry. I don't want to be tied down to staying on any particular topic (viz., Java programming), and I think places like Javablogs should stay on topic for people who want that specialized focus. Where it goes from here, I do not know. But I am trying to practice and investigate a few ideas in my life lately: imagination, creativity and freedom. So, onward!
