Now that VB developers are converting to Java in droves, we must ask the question: Why stop at VB developers? Once there are enough C# developers to go around, it would be useful to give them an easy to way to migrate their C# projects to Java. Assimilation should be irrespective of race, creed, or platform - it should be an equal opportunity thang!

As a C# developer notes:

I come from a 100% Microsoft background and after building the prototype product in C#, I moved to Java as it was a simple transition. I wanted the freedom to run the software on Linux and the large number of code samples and libraries available was extremely helpful - it was a very easy decision. I think Sun could do more to get the C# developers to cross over - Microsoft is doing the same to Java people.
