The Heron pre-alpha release version 0.5.9.9 is now available for download at Heron-Language.com.
The Heron release, 0.5.9.9 comes with two separate programs: HeronFront and HeronScript. These programs are being tested and developed on Visual C++ 7.1 and GCC 3.4.2 running on MinGW. HeronScript runs only under MS-Windows.
This is a pre-alpha release which means that there are several bugs and many features are incomplete.
The HeronScript program currently parses expression and variable declarations, but does little more than outputs messages indicating it has successfully parsed the text. HeronFront produces operational C++ code. Code produced by HeronFron is only tested under the Visual C++ 7.1 and GCC 3.4.2 platforms.
Documentation of the source code and usage of the tools is not yet available.
