We are a group of java developers exploring possibilities of using Jini Technology. We have run some sample codes like calculator, printers etc. Can any one provide us info on the following:

How to test a software on a Java and Jini Enabled device and on a non-Java device? Are there any simulation tools like printer emulator, mobile device emulator etc...?

What are the protocols used in Jini Surrogate Archtecture for the surrogate host to communicate with a non-java participating device?

What are the advantages of incorporating Jini in Distributed Application softwares like the one implemented by Lightflow Inc and how it is done?
