Servlet to Applet Communication

Hi

Can some one help me on this..... Urgent!!!!

I have Applets that registers it self with a Servlet and the servlet should notify the applets in case there is any change .. say for e.g. in the database. The Applets then repaints itself. IT is a continous process.. Until the client does not close the browser..
