Lookup problem

I use the example class, of the JavaSpaces principles, patterns and practice, SpaceAccessor and keep having the same problem with it.

I am having a linux machine and a win2000 machine. Registry and Javaspace server should be running on the linux machine. And when they do ( without any error messages, warnings or what so ever ) only clients running on the win2000 machine can find the registry server and javaspace server.
Linux clients will, forever, give the nice warning message :
"trouble finding lookup server in the groups" this is followed by an empty list of groups.

It all worked before I reinstalled the linux machine, I really wonder what the problem could be here
