hey, i read somewhere before that it's not advisable to mix awt and swing. if i'm not mistaken, double buffering is a feature of component.. and most subclasses of it should have the feature. not quite sure.. overriding it.. (isDoubleBuffered()) maybe coz it's a method that'll be called by an internal method when u try to access the double buffer. (or watever it's called! :p) if it returns false, then it will think that it's not enabled... or something like that.. anybody care to explain? pls?
