I'm not sure, but arent you adding this applet twice to the mouse listener? Would this not result in the info being passed twice to your event method?

Sorry, I'm new to mouse events. Trying to sort out something so I can get an applet to behave as an animated applet or as one accepting input from the mouse, depending on context. Your question has helped a bit.
