Can't allocate ArrayList in IE55

Hello...

Have you ever tried allocating ArrayList, a JDK 1.2 class, within your applet to be run under IE 5.5? Can't do it in my part. IE complains with a java.lang.ClassNotFound exception. Please help. Thank you.
