How 2 make a method as deprecated?

Like when v use deprecated methods in JDK at compilation time it
reports with a warning message stating that v r using a deprecated
method, similarly i would like to make my own method in my own
defined class as deprecated and instead i would like 2 provide an
alternative method for that. Help me.
