Reply to "Who designed Java and JavaScript"
Posted by Rajat Dawar on October 31, 2000 at 5:15 PM
Java was designed by Sun Microsystems, a Unix-based company. JavaScript, borrows a lot of the syntax of Java, but is only a scripting language, not a self-contained one like Java. JavaScript was designed when Netscape teamed up with Sun to reduce some of Microsoft's monopoly. Later, MS responded with JScript, which is MS's implementation of JavaScript. I believe this is how the history of it goes. I don't have any dates for these events. > I'M DOING A PROJECT FOR SCHOOL AND I NEED HELP IN ANSWERING A QUESTION I HAVE ABOUT JAVA AND JAVASCRIPT. IF ANYONE HAS THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE POST IT RIGHT AWAY, THANKS!!!!!
