2D Charting

I'm sure there are plenty of very fancy third-party charting components out there. If you want to find one, could start your search at Sun's Solution Marketplace and also try JavaWorld and other Java resources.

If you want to write a simple one, it is not too much work and Bruce Eckel's Thinking in Java book (which you can purchase, or download for free from his site) has an easy-to-follow example this.
