Certification or Bust

Actually, I think you have the right idea: sign up for the thing and make it inevitable. Otherwise it is easy to keep procrastinating.

Just immerse yourself in Java for the next couple weeks! A lot of articles here on Artima will help give you the in-depth knowledge to help, I think. Also, that JavaRanch site I mentioned earlier seems to have lots of posts from people who are and have taken the certification.
