Message:

Db2 connection problem

Posted by Mark on June 28, 2000 at 4:02 PM

Hi .
Could you, please help me to get the answer to the following problem.

I try to connect from my PC to the DB2 ver.6.1 database installed on the server to read only some data from a table.
There is no DB2 for Windows NT on my PC.
My Java code has a statement:
Class.forName("COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver").newInstance();
The above statement throws the following exception:
"SQLException: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no db2jms in shard library path"

Does it mean that I must install some DB2 file? If 'Yes", which one?

Thank you.
