How to run JTAPI APPLICATIONS

Hi all, I want to develop a JTAPI based appliation whic will record sound on computer in mp3 or other format. Please temme how to run JTAPI Application. What are the environment(s/w, h/w) required for that. I have downloaded JTAPI class files from Sun but how to integrate that with JDK. Also site says that some implementations from IBM and others (Aplpha works, jhat etc) supporting JTAPI. What is that?
