One of the really great things about Java: Its' design is intended to be platform independent.
Translation: YOu should have to do little or nothing to move your application from NT to Unix - except maybe perhaps be happy to be moving to a superior OS ;-)

We have Java applications that are distributed to Win32, AIX, IRIX and Solaris environments.
All distributions are the SAME CODE without modifications!
