Encryption

Hi
I wanted to use SHA-1 encryption algorith thriugh java.
how to do it?is there any calss which will implements this algoritham
and contains some methods to return encrypted value.if not a java class
if c program is also ok whci can be used through JNI.
it would be great help if any one can through some light.
