I need to get the output of a servlet and display it on an applet, could anyone help....

More detail:
The servletlet generates a page which updates every 'X' seconds and displays a new line of text eg (loading.... / Opening.... / Closing.... / Finished.) I need to get these lines of text and display them in an applet with a progressbar....
