When will physical copies ship? Posted: Jan 22, 2011 7:21 PM

Hi,

I ordered the physical book/ebook combo 9 days ago. I am enjoying the ebook version immensely. However, I am wondering what the approximate ship date is for the physical edition. I went to Amazon.com and they are showing the have the book in stock for immediate shipment implying they have physical copies.

Could you please let me/us know approximately when you think the physical copies will begin shipping to those who ordered here on artima?

Thank you,

Jim

Hi,

I asked this question two weeks ago. And I still have not seen hide nor hair of the physical copy of the book. What's the most effective way to get a status on if/when my book order shipped?

Thank you,

Jim O'Flaherty

You can view your order from the 'Your Settings' page (http://www.artima.com/account). Click on the order number, and the ship date for your book should be shown below the specific item on the page.

UGH! Now I see that it shipped Jan/24th. That very important data point seems a wee bit obscure for me.

Okay, the date is two weeks ago, as of today. Any idea how long I should wait to receive it?

Media mail can be awfully slow, but I'd think two weeks should be enough. I predict it will arrive today. :)

But I'd contact Bill if you haven't received it within another week.

I just got the physical copy. Whoohoo!

Actually, it was delivered Friday Jan/28th to my apartment's front office. So between the shipping date being difficult to discern (from the noise of the other data on the order web page) and the USPS employee making the delivery not placing a notice in my mailbox that the package had been left at my apartment's front office, I didn't get the book until I decided to just check with the apartment office on my own.

I am very happy to have it, though. Tyvm!
