Last night, in the middle of a rather enjoyable game of Rise of Nations, my computer completely froze. I tried rebooting, but my computer wasn't even posting. I left if off for a while and tried again. No luck. After a series of testing I finally realized that my processor had burned out. This little adventure taught me two things about myself.
1. I'm nerdy enough to be able to test the RAM, Processor, and Video Card to find the problem.
2. I have enough spare parts laying around that I was able to replace the burnt-out processor immediately.
How many people have spare processors, motherboards, RAM, and video cards laying around? Thas a sad and scary revelation for me :)
