Anybody knows if FAST(Family Based Abstraction Specificationa and Translation) is formally used major software development projects? I read about it a little and think its the formalization of software design approach that includes finding, specifying and implementing Patterns in a particular application domain and must be useful when starting to design a software for a particular domain.
