Hi,
Is there any article or suggested reading about these issues: if you would have to start a new project today (a very scalable Webapp plus additional REST connectors) would you go for ExtJS + Java/Jersey REST + Spring + Hibernate + Maven
or to ExtJS + Groovy plus REST + Grails + Maven.

I am also interested to know you opinion. Thank you.

my considerations:
Groovy: promoted by Spring, etc ...but I do not know how is the debugging and the maintenance especially if you do not have experts

I would go for second one i mean this one with Groovy also taking into account Grails and all the web stuff there even if I am more traditional and conservative but taking into account the learning path and also possible performance/scalability issues ...i do not know ...

We have to consider that in my case the pool of Devs in this moment is high skilled only in Java & Java frameworks and have no background in scripting.

Thank you !

Ionel.
