I apologize that I haven't been blogging for a while. I've recently become very busy and haven't had much time to blog. As well, I had a series of system crashes that required a full system backup/re-install in order to recover.

Ever since I upgraded from Windows XP Home to Windows XP Pro, my system has occassionally gotten hung before the login on boot-up. Until now, the only recourse I had was to do a Windows Repair. Each time, several key programs stopped working afterwards - most notably Visual Studio.NET. Even an uninstall and reinstall of VS.NET wouldn't get it working again. I'd have to re-register certain DLL's to get it to work or do a repair of the VS.NET installation.

This last time, I couldn't get VS.NET or Netscape to work. I decided that I'd had enough and did a full backup and re-install of XP. The problem: how do you backup a 40 Gig disk? My solution, buy an 80 Gig disk and copy to it. Nothing else was quite as easy or cheap.

In any event, I seem to be back up now and I'll try to get back to blogging.
