James and a few others have come out and said that Kill Bill 2 was boring. Well, I say, you just didn't watch the movie the right way.
What Kill Bill 2 needed was a touch of Pulp Fiction's time-jumping class, which is just how it was delivered to me.
I arrived at the cinema at around 5:20pm, the movie was on in #6 at 5:30pm and in #5 at 6:40pm. With my greatest brain fart of the day, I thought the time was 6:20pm. So I bought a ticket for 6:40pm and went for a walk for 20 minutes.
I noticed that 20 minutes had passed and quickly went to the theatre. There was no one there - odd - but no matter, perhaps I was a minute late and I was about to miss all the credits. I got my ticket ripped and went in.
The cinema was packed. I took a seat and there was Uma talking to Bill. I thought "Cool, they're starting the movie off with her confrontation of Bill". Then.. she killed bill. Ack!, what a way to start the movie.. then the credits rolled. I was dumb founded. What had happened?
The movie was already playing in cinema #5 long before I had arrived. I had just seen the /end/ of Kill Bill 2, without any of the beginning. I was devistated!. I left the cinema wondering how I was going to get myself out of this mess. It was now 6:20pm - I had another 20 minutes to wait, this time for real.
I wandered from food vendor to food vendor, nothing could grasp my taste buds after gobbling down a giant chocolate chip cookie for my first sitting of Kill Bill 2. Eventually, the time passed enough and I went back to the cinema.
There was no one there again! Uh oh. I told the girl my ticket was already ripped and she sent me on in. Again, the cinema was packed - but this time I had not missed the movie. I watched through the first 4/5ths of the movie.
When the fish story came up again, I summarily got up out of my chair and left - probably much to the surprise of most of the audience around me :)
I found the movie to be lacking in the extreme gore of the first one but made up for it with all the character development the first one didn't have. And, with the odd way I watched it, I didn't find it boring at all!.
