Check out this bit of incredible stupidity. Some parents in Nashville, TN have convinced the schools to stop posting honor rolls because it embarrasses their "under achiever" students. Instead of holding up achievement as an example for others, they suppress it to prevent damage to the fragile egos of their pampered offspring. Talk about political correctness gone mad.

But then, maybe the same thing should be applied to the military (no medals for heros), to the arts (no Oscars for great performances), to the sciences (no Nobel prizes), etc. etc. etc. After all, whenever someone is honored, someone else always feels left out. We wouldn't want to offend anyone (or encourage anyone to greatness either).
