After all the hype about the Crunchpad - no wait, the JooJoo (what kind of stupid name is that?) - we learn that it will be a useless brick:

let's skip to the product: It's been renamed JooJoo — the URL is thejoojoo.com. It'll cost $499, it works over Wi-Fi only, and Rathakrishnan says the formal launch will be this week. He's giving a video demo right now: "It has the graphic power to deliver full HD video on the go." It will also have built-in e-book capabilities, he said.

WiFi only and $500?? Why on earth would you buy one of those instead of a Netbook - especially one of the ones that come with a monthly 3G data plan, making them usable anywhere? Maybe Arrington didn't get gamed, maybe he saw disaster coming and found a way to get out quickly...
