Two BusinessWeek bloggers are being let go, and they ask a question about the status of their last 4 plus years of posting:

Does anyone know how to preserve and store our four and a half years of blog posts and comments? Our colleague Arik Hesseldahl said something about turning each month into a pdf.

The irony? The mission statement of the blog:

In Blogspotting Senior Writer Stephen Baker and Associate Editor Heather Green take a look at how cutting-edge technologies are changing business and society. Whether its blogs or wikis, data crunching or data targeting, technology’s advances are reshaping the world that we live in.

Ok, it's a cheap laugh, but they actually have a serious issue: if you're a corporate blogger, and things go south for any reason, how do you get the content? Is it stored in a way that makes it easily accessible? Or in a way that would make it easy to put back online elsewhere? Do you even have the rights to it?

These are all good questions.
