Apparently, there's some interest in learning from whatever it is that Australia is doing in broadband rollout here in the US:
"There is an enormous interest from the United States in what we are doing here," Budde told Computerworld. "Not that they are looking to copy us, not at all. But it is fascinating for them to see how things are developing and obviously how they can learn from it. They are now a strong believer in this trans-sector approach."
I don't know, maybe they need to talk to some actual users of broadband in Australia. Maybe things have changed in the last little while, but most of the folks I've talked to from down there have nothing good to say about how broadband works there...
