I guess if you keep getting hit with a brick, eventually you notice the pain - Rhapsody today announced a nifty sounding service:
Beginning today, consumers can purchase MP3 music from Rhapsody and its partners that is free of the digital rights management (DRM) software that restricts how and where people can play their music. Any song or album purchased at www.rhapsody.com/mp3 can be played on any MP3 player, even an Apple iPod.
Wow, you think they finally figured out that Apple is the competition? Maybe. On the other hand, they are still tossing around lawsuits in the old style "we hate our customers" fashion, so it's only a half step forward.
