Offering free WiFi access as Starbucks makes sense (within some kind of time bound), but ATT managed to make what should have been positive PR into a negative:

"You agree that all connections to the Internet via ATTIS's connectivity shall be for the limited purposes of accessing electronic mail, operating a basic web browser such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, or downloading files via the 'ftp' protocol typically implemented in web browser programs."

Umm, two things:

  • Netscape Navigator? Did we fall into a black hole and come out in 1996?
  • WTF is up with those stupid terms of service? YouTube is out of bounds?

The stupid burns...
