Amazing. AppleCare is a must have for me. For the last couple of months I've been noticing that the charge light on my power connection flickers. It's required more and more finessed nudging to get it to charge. And the other day, it was just about gone. The thin flexible wire that goes from the power supply had bent one too many times, at both ends. I looked up the new price for one. I was about ready to buy one, when my wife reminded me that we have AppleCare, doesn't that pay for it?

No I scoffed! This is a peripheral thing. No way they're going to pay for that. Are you sure she queeried? Yes! I'll prove it to you.

15 minutes later, I'd talked to the nice lady at Apple and a new one was on the way. Gratis. Just make sure I send the damaged one back, OK? Would be there in 7 days. That was Friday. Monday I had a new one on my doorstep.

Lessons for the day: Always listen to your wife. Always prove her wrong. Always buy AppleCare.
