So what does all this mean? The frequency of the hypo's is increasing. So, this means that I'm in the Honeymoon period of my Type 1 Diabetes. My body is still producing a small amount of insulin. That means I'm getting too much insulin and getting Hypo's.
How long will the rest of my beta cells last? It could be a couple of years, it could be a couple of months, it could be a couple of days. There's no way of telling. There is one certainty - they will die off eventually and very likely within a couple of years.
For now, my insulin dosages have been reduced and I'll continue with the close monitoring cycle to see how things develop. Fingers crossed that this reduction has an immediate reduction in Hypos.
