Every year Canberra has a Multicultural Festival. Actually, last year Joseph Pelrine was visiting Australia. He came and stayed at my house and it was also the multicultural festival - so we all went to that. It was good until the rain hit later that night :)

This year, Wizard Information Services has decided to sponsor the major last event of the festival, the Carnivale. This will be on the 18th of February 2006 - so come along if you're in Canberra (or near Canberra), it'll be a blast.

"From 6pm on Saturday 18 February, Canberra’s Civic centre will come alive as never before! It is going to be a hot, hot night, with a Tango Café, a big band concert in Petrie Plaza, Latin American music and dancing in Garema Place till late. Dance demonstrations and Latin street-dancing will accompany the music, performed by both local and Sydney based groups including Brazilian Fantasy with their Carnivale feathers and sequins."
